Misfire under load/boost

Hey all I'm back after not having a computer for a while. Right now my PWSC SVT has a hard misfire under load and will not hold more than 5lb. boost without misfiring. I have checked the plugs and even gapped them down to .035. I'm wondering if my next logical step should be replace the plug wires and coil pack or start somewhere else first. Thanks for the input

I would Tom but right now I don't have a device to datalog. I should have one soon when HTP completes the work on my car. I ordered wires because they are inexpensive and the FRPP wires look to be in tough shape. I'll wait on the coil pack a bit until after I try the wires. It'll run smoothly with normal throttle input or up to 5lb boost, but floor it or go above 5lb and at least one cylinder misfires.

Confirmed was the wires. FRPP wires=Fail. Replaced with Taylor Thundervolt 8.2 and now running 100% again. Thanks for the inputs. Can't wait for tuning Aug. 1

I got news for you, if it was running lean then there were some bigger issues than a bad wire... a misfire doesnt lead to a lean condition.... the wire "possibly" being bad is more than likely a fluke that just happened at the same time as what ever the real issue was.

John, It was only running lean as a function of the stock PW tune. The stock PW tune runs leans and pulls a ton of timing until it hits about 4500 RPM and then it goes to 12:1 and stays there till redline...It's a function of being CARB certified which I have confirmed with PW/Mahle themselves...It'd been running fine until one of the wires went bad, then it started misfiring...but yes, I would like to get a better tune, and that should be addressed soon...
