labonte motorsports water/methanol injection

was wondering if anyone on hear is running a water/methanol injection kit from labonte motorsports. i was talking to one of my friends the other day about getting a snow perfromance kit from my svt with a jrsc and he told me about this company. so i looked them up and they look pretty legit. was wanting to get some feed back if anyone has heard or used them. was thinking about there stage 2 kit that is designed for MAF equiped cars. price on the kit is 395 and comes with the same as the kit from snow that cost 480. the website for the company is www.labontemotorsports.com

I probably going to run water/meth injection on my turbo setup (when i install it) for engine safety. I've heard using a water/meth system doesnt work so well with the IAT sensor, wears it out quickly. I'm not sure though.

From what I see the stuff looks good. Comes with controller and all. At least there is another alternative than AEM's setup.

Seems like also you can peice together your own kit to save money.

Not exactly on topic but similar: My Mitsu EVO had a water/alcohol spray on the intercooler...would that lower IAT enough to not need a spray in the intake itself? I realize they achieve their effects differently...depending on your application I'm guessing there would be pluses and minuses for each.

Just curious...

I never thought about putting the jet down around the intercooler. I'm not really an expert on this but ive done some research. I think Tom started a thread on this topic that I read.

well the issue i have is the fact of no room for an intercooler with the JRSC. so im going to have to spary into my intake. need to to cool the IAT down so that it will help restore performance lost to heat soak from the blower. i installed my kit in the winter and it ran great but with these 100 degree july days it feels like a stock svt if pushed hard.

Not 100% but you may want to be careful about spraying the mixture in before the blower--water doesn't compress and I would think it'd potentially harm the innards of the SC. From what I've seen some people tap the housing itself after the rotors and put the WMI nozzle there.

thats kinda what i was thinking also. was planning on doing the IAT sensor relocation into the manifold also so that it would get true reading after the blower

I would go with AIS (alcohol injection systems) water/meth kit thats what im running on my foci its cheap in price and has the finest mist on the market for the best atomisation. also all of there fitting are nickel plated so no rusting out or corrosion. there base kit with no bottle cost 189.99 on ebay with free shipping add 100.00 more for a 2gal bottle. but i made my own bottle see link.

My custom meth injection tank
