radiator fan q

ok soo the way my turbo manifold and turbo are going to sit there is no room for the fan. im going to need to make the radiator fan blow through instead of suck through and i want to know what all is needed for this and everything or if any one else has done it. there are two reasons i want to do the set up like this... one is because turbo-ing is exspensive so im outa cash and two is for that diy aspect of it :)

you will have to get rid of the A/c condenser to do that.

I havevery little room between my turbo and rad also. I am going to use slim fans on mine. I found a fan that is 10 or 12 inches round and only 2.25 inch thick. I plan on running two of them. And they are not expensive.

Question: Is it illegal to have turbo sitting above engine, basically out of hood on a street car? I saw this here in Europe last weekend:

Yes that is legal here in the US , I had a 68 Camaro with a 572 Cu In engine with a 12/71 SC through the hood and 2 Predator Carbs on it and it still passed inspection

So what CFM do the stock fans flow. There are slim fans that pull up to 1,000CFM. With two fans thats got to be close to stock, considering that both fans do not run all the time on a stock focus.

If I remember correctly the stock fans pull 3200/3500CFM , Thats a long way from 2 / 1000cfm Fans

I would do anything less then 1500/1700cfm and those are not cheap
