Only 800for track i would be heading for 1200 for the track with a turbo ls1. we gotta a guy down here that puts down 950 NA its nutts and he also has a mint 69 camaro with a ls1 that puts down 1400 thats his DD its nuts. The ls1 flow crazy and put down amazing power when on boost. Go for more POWER

im not building a drag car. in the end i am hoping for a touring car. if i were going to be running big slicks and tubbing it out then i would go for more. but 800whp will be plenty.. plus the power you make the more you spend on making ever thing in the drive train hold the power. that would defeat the purpose of it being a budget build and it would also defeat my bank account.
