i tried a different forum and they told me to come here...how much psi can a stock spi (haha: spi,psi) handle? thanks for the help!

I would say 6psi unintercooled and 9 intercooled with a good tune and for it to be reliable..

I've been at 300ftlbs at the wheels for about 3 years now. Still nothen has broke, stock block with 120k miles or so.

I read somewhere that the one in the focus can only handle 200ish.

Is the escort different internals?

^^ that may be a possibility.......though jeff knows for sure since he built his own I was gonna say around 7psi off the top of my head, cause stock internals on the foci's SPI are well, ok I'm gonna say it......weak . damn though, I didn't know you had 300ftlbs on that . I couldn't find many parts on the SPI, just some ignition, intake, exhaust, and the now discontinued headers from.....focus central? I love the fact that the SPI is technically a Hemi though. lol. it has good pickup though for being such a low power engine (ok, not THAT low......but still :B)
