about to get a procharger.. and........

ok guys im getting a procharger off a fellow member, and its a tunner, meaning i need to get the 60lbs fuel injectors, mafia, and a new pipe for air inlet(air intake pipe)

my questiong is, will shorty header work with this kit, better over stock? im asking this is it what i got and what i can work with right now.

my next step is to get the 60lbs fuel injectors.

oooh yeah my engine is stock, beside i only have a exhaust, and spark wires.

what kind of parts list should i make in order to run this kit SAFETY with decent hp (lets no go crazy, cause money is limited)?

1)
2)
3)
etc.....

depending on the boost you are running you will probably need a clutch...

I juts finished installing my procharger kit last week.
What sort of intercooler does your kit have? Front mount or the stock bottom mount?
Did the kit come from an SVT or a normal zetec?
Right now I still have stock header/cat/flexpipe with a magnaflow catback.
My kit came with a front mount intercooler, otherwise nothing else has been done to my car.
My numbers are 180hp and 170hp on a mustang dyno (roughly add 10%-13% for dynojet numbers).
However, the tuner told me right off the bat, "if you get a proper header/cat/flexpipe you'll hit 200 on my dyno, your engine needs to breath better.".
So I'd say keep the shorty, get a highflow cat and a highflow flex.
As for the clutch, since prochargers don't produce the sheer amount of torque a turbo does, you can get by with stock clutch as long as its in decent shape.
For the record, the car pulls amazing, it's an absolute blast to drive now.
Ask any questions you might have, I'll do my best to answer them.
Since I just went through this install it's all fresh in my head.

Agreed, but it is considerably more costly than a shorty.
The OP mentioning cost as a problem is why I suggested to keep the shorty.

The kit im getting from a SVT(only different is the air intake pipe?, so i will need to get a CAI pipping to attach to. Its a bottom mount, stock, intercooler.

I bought a 2.5" flex, and i guess il use the shorty heades, but im trying to find a orp or a cat pipe that is bigger then stock. doesn't matter if i have a cat or not cuase i would like to weld on a hi-flow cat myself.

but i know ill need a 65mm TB, but can weget by with a stock tb?

as for the list...

1)60 lbs fuel injectors
2)CAI pipe
3)ORP ( is obx a thin metal brand? what brand? will be weldding a Hi-flow cat to the pipe)
4)...

i will be getting these when i got money laying around...
front mount
Tb, 65mm
cam gears
cams stage 2 or 3 ( will need to get new springs/retainer)

no boost controller required but you should probably invest in both a boost guage and a wideband AF guage. And if you are going to hit 200whp your clutch will prolly go out prematurely, 180 you might get away with.

You dont need a boost controller, your boost is controlled strictly by how much rpm the engine is running at.
Boost and a wideband air fuel are definitely nice to haves.
As for piping...
If you're going to go front mount intercooler, I suggest you get it now, because the svt uses different piping from the intercooler all the way up to the throttle body. The problem is that when you go front mount, you'll be redoing the piping from the intercooler to the maf pipe all over again. Keep in mind, you won't be changing the maf pipe, just the pieces inbetween it and the intercooler.
Also, if you can, try to get the maf pipe from Procharger, its a really nice piece with smoother bends than most cai's. Although I'd guess the cai maf pipe will work ok also.
Speaking from my own experience, they had zero issues tuning mine with the procharger maf pipe and a mafia.
Throttle body is up to you, my stock one is working fine as is.
I'll be doing the exhaust work first, then if I still feel I need more, I'll get the tb.
