Turbo Kit

I"m thinking that I want to turbocharge my '04 SVT. What individual parts should I buy? Is there a kit that I should look at? Is it possible to keep this under $2K, if so, how low can the cost reasonably go without getting low quality parts.

2k? you would have to really know how to do a lot of the work yourself... like welding and such. kits are going to be close to 4k or more.. and make sure you do it right... and tuned good also. I don't know of a complete list of parts you'll need but theres a good bit.

No. There's no turbo solution (kit, DIY) that you'd want on your car for 2k. 3k for all DIY should be reasonable. It's never going to be just the cost of the parts, remember that. There's both unforeseen costs and associated costs. As an extreme, I got into this Focus modding scene by buying a used $2600 complete SC kit. Then I was pretty much forced to add a high flow cat, MAFia, and a tune (these were critical for the SC; I'm leaving out other stuff). These things figure to $950 extra.
There's nothing wrong with modding on a budget, but no matter what you plan to spend, definitely be ready to spend more.
