Exclamation *NEW* Turbo help thread

With all of the new turbo activity on the board I decided we needed a thread just for turbo/ turbo kit help.

Now this isnt going to be a "please list everything I need" thread... there are several threads already that give descent outlines on whats needed.

This is for more specific problems like..." how do I do..." or "where do you find..." kind of stuff

After all even I need help sometimes and I'm always answering PMs on the same stuff every few days so this way we can try to have a whole bunch of good helpful advice in one spot.

So ask away and we'll do our best to get you the needed answers!!!!

PS: Dont forget to look at the stickies at the top of the forum there is already ALOT of useful stuff already there.

I think Tom found a way to increase fuel pressure simultaneously along with boost so the BAP isn't needed but of course, originally it was thought that a BAP was needed for anything over 300hp.

On a fellow members car we noticed that at a mere 10psi he needed a BAP due to the stock SVT pump just could not keep up.

Since then we have figured out a couple of new ways to keep the pressure up on the SVT, but I dont know how it will work on a Zetec.

If you skim through the BAP/Fuel pressure sticky you can see screen shots of the datalogs showing the fuel pressure falling off.... that was at roughly 250whp.

its now or never

well John,
I've got the next 5 days off if needed to remove my Pwsc and install my turbo kit. I'm glad you started this thread as I'll use it for all my questions.

just cleaned up all my crap in the garage and parked the car. Not sure if I'll start to night or not since its been long day.

but I'll be ready first thing in the morning..

Great idea, I'm sure I'll refer back to this... Hopefully once the current "known" builds are finished we can get together and create a detailed step by step guide... How to fab, install, and get it tuned.

or you could just do a return line setup and throw in a 1:1 rising rate fuel pressure regulator. works great on the SRT4, don't see how it would be any different here. all you have to do is set your static pressure and then attach the vacuum/boost line and once you start going into boost your fuel pressure will rise 1psi over your static per psi of boost that you are running
