I'm ready to go turbo :D

So, I've made the decision that it's time to go turbo on my 03 ZX3. I wanna stick with the stock 2.0 Zetec in it, and I'm only wanting to run about 6-7 psi of boost to get things started. I should be able to retain the stock internals on the engine with these numbers, right? So where could I buy a kit for this, or what EXACTLY do I need to buy to build it all myself? Also, I'm looking at having a local shop fab me up a new exhaust this month, so what size piping do I wanna run on that with the intention of turbo?

that amount is perfectly fine no a stock engine.. you can pretty much go up to 10-12 lbs of boost.. but you need to have someone good tune it for you. what you could do is have an exhaust shop bend you you tubing for the turbo itself... and have your own kit.

Hmm...well I've been loooking, uh do they make the PWSC for the 2.0 Zetec? I'm thinking that might be a better path now.

If you want bigger numbers down the road then stick with getting a turbo kit. It'll save you more money and hassle in the long run

Yea, I'm just trying to weigh out the options and see what I could do. I live in AK, so it's not like I'm looking for huge numbers...those just aren't streetable on icy roads 6 months outta the year. But yea, can I put the PWSC on my normal 2.0 Zetec?

Im doing the same thing cept im shooting for 7-8 psi instead. Just do some research on what kits include and you should have a good starting list. You can also look at some builds that people have listed on here and that will help ya out.
