Talking My GT-K 450 is In and ON (Pics)

Hey guys i got my brand new GT-K 450 in and man it is so nice. my car isnt running yet i havent gotten to make the down pipe and intercooler piping and by 3in MAF tube but i should have this done by sunday i have 1 question about the oil drain i have pics to please scrol down i will have the question where the pic is








Hey guys heres my question is the oil drain to low on the turbo. i was gonna do a 90 and go straight to the return into the block

Your drain on the turbo should be pointing down... not up... you can damage the seals like you have it.

As long as the return is lower than the outlet of the turbo you should be fine... and no weird kinks or anything in the return line.

thats a rather large turbo, are you strictly shooting for high dyno numbers/drag racing? cause that turbo will have a significant amount of lag

awesome man. nice to see you got it. so now i get to find out how it does before i buy it.

as far as the lag time. it wont be that bad. the turbo i have is a t3/to4e 50 trim which is comparable to a gtk350. the gtk450 is a 60 trim compressor but it also has different wheels and ball bearings which should make it spool faster and make better numbers than mine.

depending on how yours does i will decide whether i use the gtk450 or 500. good luck

and if you look at it again it is right on the drain and feed john

Jim do you have a pic of the BOTTOM of that turbo... because usually the inlet is a single fitting and the drain is a flange. So according to the pic you have the drain on top of the turbo.... unless both inlet and drain have the same flange setup.
