Need some help...

Ok... So I am having all kinds of problems with my car wanting to run right.. it almost seems cursed. my gas mileage has started to fall. It idles really ruff.. Now its starting to have problems starting.... And my idle will randomly raise to 6-7k all on its own until i tap the throttle (with out me touching the throttle so its not sticking). I disconnected the iac valve and turned the throttle up to 1200. and it brought it back down to about 900. Then I turned it up to about 1500 and it again brought it back down. So I left it alone and now its up to about 1700 and it goes up and down from 900- 1700 (iac still disconnected) it stumbles a bit when I first push the throttle. I have replaced the coil pack twice and same with the plugs and plug wires. My a/f ratios are good by my wideband and in boost the car runs fine. my codes are p0340, P1132, P1504. I know that one is the iac (because it is disconnected) and one is the fuel pump module because i have bypassed mine and the last one is the cam pos sensor which Tom said it would not effect the way the car runs. Im just lost I just want my car to run right and it never has... If you could maybe you could help me solve this prob... I have data logging capabilites but dont know how or what to look for. (which tabs to select to tell me what). If anyone knows anything about this or could help me figure out my car i would be very greatfull... thanks

Did you change the TPS sensor ?

And the part "I just want my car to run right and it never has" Isnt exactly true its ran perfect ever time we finish fixing the last issues here and we drive it for 30 min to an Hr and you go back home , it isnt till a week or 2 later that more issues come up

I have told you before and will say it again , with a car any car making over 3 times the stock HP/TQ you will allways be tinkering with it

Tom

your right itll run good for about a few days and then it goes to crap.. I am trying to figure out why and what is causing all of these parts to go bad so often and so quick. noone else pushing the same kind of power seems to have the same problems.. so what about my car is being so difficult.

Don't say no one. I've done been through it all. I've had those same issues befor and just completely eliminated the idle air control valve and that helped a bit.

Have you replaced every sensor on your car. and how many miles are on it. I know when i put in my new engine I never changed the sensors and then they all started going bad one after another due to how many miles were on them(125,000)

I'd start with the TPS sensor and also replace that cam sensor.

Trust me I feel your pain.

i have replace the tps, twice and the iac 3 times, the coil pack 3 times, plugs i dont know how many times, knock sensor with the j&s, the cam sensor not yet but tom said that wouldnt effect my car, not to sure off the top of my head what other sensors there are but when i put in my new motor i changed all the sensors except the ones on the head. oh and the speed sensor.i have been fighting with this car to run right for over 2 years one thing after another never everything just right. even after the dyno this last time when it was running its best it ever has it idled a bit rough and the cam sensor was throwing a code. so i ordered one and it should be here today. i only have about 72k on the whole car. motor was replaced about 5k ago if that.it just seems like all the stuff that i have already replaced is going bad sooner than it should. and even you tom said that you dont understand why my car is doing the things it is. so something else is causing all of these things to go bad so fast...

mine runs w/o the iac as well. it runs great without it as long as the car is warm. if i plug it in it gets worse the longer i drive with it. that and the o2 sensor heater circuit in the ecu is not working. besides that it is running good... knock on wood.

my warm up sucks! but oh well. i will work on that when i get my new software

I'd just get rid of the Idle air control valve if I were you. slap a blcok plate over the thing and call it a day then you just need to turn of the code in your tune or have tom do that for you. Set the idle to around 1200 or somewhere in that ball park and you should be fine.

I have already eliminated the iac and turned the throttle up i am having a hard time getting my idle to get to stay at what i set it too. i have replaced my tps and it seems to be abit better but not sure as to what else is causing my car to idle rough and my smooth driving bad.. somone suggested to clean the maf so im gonna give that a try again.
