Higher compression F/I?

Hi everyone!

Just a little turbo/SC question here. I was wondering if it is possible to run FI on a higher compression ratio set up for the 2.3l duratec. Obviously internals need to be reinforced but it seems that if you had the proper modification you should be able to have a set up similar to the S2000's that have forced induction. For those that don't know the S2000 has a compression ratio of 11.0:1. They have a greddy turbo kit out (among others) as well as a few SC's. They typically run about 6psi boost. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks!

RN

Well I ran 19psi on my SVT for 2 years on the stock 10.25:1 pistons in it.... so in my opinion as long as you use forged internals and dont go boost crazy... sure, you can run boost at higher CR's.

Hey thanks for the response. I figured it would be safe if everything was supported, just wanted to make sure I didn't over look anything.

The SVT has sinter-forged Mahle rods in it from the factory.... at its best I made 365whp on the stock motor with 93 octane gas.

Yep, COMPLETELY stock except for a prototype intake manifold. I ran it at 330whp for 2 years and then we decided to push it until it wouldnt go any farther.
