Life after boost?

Planning on ordering a PowerWorks S/C kit for my SVTF sometime this month, and couldn't be more excited. The only thing I've ever hated about this car is the fact that it's so damn slow (compared to other cars I've owned).

My only negative thought at the moment is "what if I want more?". With a supercharger setup (especially this one), what are the options after it's on there? What, if any, additional things can you add to make more power (other than, say...nitrous...talking usable power)? Cams? Any in particular work best for a S/C'd SVT? I already have a full exhaust, if the SVT header truly is the best available for that car...that's what I read, anyway. I've also read that the internals of the SVT motor are strong enough to hold some serious boost, so I'm not quite certain I'd have to crack open the bottom end.

I'm guessing this kit gives somewhere between 230-250whp...what more can you do to get it closer to 275-300 (again, without changing to a different FI system)?

looks like someone has commitment issues LOL.... i think some FI grind cams and a smaller blower pulley or larger crank pulley will up the boost.... and you can always spray it. I really dont know all that much about these systems but from what i do know that would be one way of getting there. Im not entirely sure that the powerworks system will support 300hp.... but like i said i am no expert.

I'm not entirely sure you can get it to 300. You might be able to get near 275 at least. Changing pulleys will do a lot for you, and since it is cooled unlike the JRSC you can push it a lot farther.

Its no secret that I think the pw sucks as do most SC for the Focus , The only way your going to be happy being that your already worried about it being enough is go with a turbo and be happy and be done with it

Yeah I'd have to agree, the 2.3 would be a must for 300hp.

I dont mean to disagree with the master of all things blown.

but in this case i must disagree....my dyno chart looks like a turbo graph, abliet not as high as 300 hp, but the PWSC is probably the best supercharger made for a focus.

300 whp is probably the max you willse out of it...if your looking for more than that, then look at turbos.

ironically, this comes from a guy who put a PWSC on his focus for a temporary fix till he builds his turbo.....lmao.....
