Cool Out of the ashes it HAS RISEN!(pics)

Well its finally warm out and I've managed to finish up a couple of other projects I've been playing around with....

Now its time to put the SVT back together!!!!

So far here's what I've got.....

Stock SVT block with new oil squirters ... freshly honed and checked for cracks
Probe Pistons and Eagle rods... all balanced within .1 GRAMS of each other
Total Seal file to fit rings
New SVT head Gasket
SVT Head with custom P&P with combustion chamber work... all done by me
BRAND NEW GT28Rs
Custom intake manifold
Custom Turbo manifold... still need to wrap it
and pretty much Custom everything else
And a little SNOWPERFORMACE just for kicks....


I know some of you guys are asking yourselves "why a GT28Rs?"

I'll tell you why... for a Daily Driver the GT28Rs will make more than enough power... the last one I had made over 360whp and over 300wtq.... PLUS you get the added benifit of GOBS of low and mid range power... something you CANT get with the bigger turbos on these inefficient engines.

I've LOWERED my goals to 330whp and matching TQ... with should be attainable relatively easy even on 93 octane pump gas.... If it makes more then thats fine.

Everyone gets too caught up in PEAK numbers.... When I went from my first GT28Rs to the GT3076R I gained just a little top end.... but I lost almost 75wtq in the midrange... that is NOT acceptable for daily driver.. at least for me its not.... my car was faster with the smaller turbo and thats where I want to go back too..... besides I still have my Cobra if I feel the need to build something to make BIG numbers with.

There's someone that knows whats going on ^^^

Not only will it be "more reliable" it'll have ALOT more midrange and low end.

The last dyno I did (stock motor with the GT3076R) at 4500 rpms I had 200wtq..... with the GT28Rs at the same boost level made 275wtq... BIG difference.

I laughed the other day, I flipped on Pinks and there was this guy running a "700 whp CRX" that he supposedly drives daily
