Hey from all of your expierences how long does it take to install a powerworks supercharger? and is it hard? Im debating if i got one to have it installed for $99 an hour or just do it myself. Thanks

I'm pretty sure the Powerworks will make your car fail emissions... I know mine would fail emissions if we had that BS down here in Florida.

And you don't need it tuned by the shop, PW will reflash your ECU free if you send it back to them.

Procharger was pending last time I heard....PW is CARB legal...you have a sticker in your box for it....you don't have to pay for PW tune...it's included in the kit...I would find someone who can installit for sime firm price...not hourly based especially if they never did it before

Unless otherwise noted, ProCharger systems for fuel-injected applications meet both EPA and CARB emmissions requirements and are classified as 50 state legal

In the info on C-F-M s website it says 5 hours by a do it your self. so with that its about 500 bucks so no more then that should be needed. Or hell if you lived by me i would help you do it for a small price ;)

It's finally here! Powerworks' first major powertrain performance upgrade - the "Focus Force" 2.0L, Zetec supercharger kit.

The kit adds a huge boost in performance and works with all body styles (hatchback, sedan or wagon) of 2000-2004 Focus 2.0L Zetec vehicles with manual transmissions. PowerWorks provides a complete, turn-key upgrade by adding an Eaton/Magna Charger M62, positive displacement, roots-type supercharger, air-to-water intercooler, complete CARB-legal calibration, larger throttle body, new air induction and ALL accessories required for installation.

Installation is straightforward and can be completed easily by competent do-it-yourselfers with basic tools in about 5 HOURS. No cutting, welding, or fabrication is required and the car can be returned to stock at any time with no undue effects. Even the smallest details have been addressed by Cosworth Technology's engineering team so that items usually ignored in aftermarket kits - like the vacuum lines and wiring harnesses - are "plug and play", requiring no modifications to the factory components.

Testing of the Focus Force Kit began in June 2004 and development has been non-stop since then. "The output is exactly what we have been advertising and it's real - verified by SAE engine dyno testing", said Mark Blaha, Chief Project Engineer. "We are seeing 220 hp at 7000 RPM, and 180 foot pounds of torque at the wheels, which is what we predicted early on", Blaha added.

The key to the successful power upgrade is the calibration. Based on Cosworth Technology's vast experience in providing calibration directly to several major auto manufacturers, the PowerWorks kit includes a comprehensively remapped engine control module that changes timing and air-fuel ratios throughout the entire rev range to provide much higher performance levels while still maintaining long-term durability. Further, idle quality, low-speed driveability, cold- and hot-weather capability, and complete on-board diagnostics are maintained in the PowerWorks calibration. Each kit includes a postage-paid package to return the customer's powertrain control module to PowerWorks for reflashing and shipping back to the customer within 24 hours.

The kit includes a 1-year (unlimited mileage) limited warranty.

PowerWorks will be expanding "Focus Force" to include a wide variety of powertrain performance products for the entire range of Focus models in the very near future, including some unique products, as well a supercharger kit for the largely-ignored automatic models. Look for additional PowerWorks powertrain upgrade components including supercharger kits for other makes and models in 2005.

Features Include:

* 220 hp at 7000 RPM at the wheels
* 180 lb-ft of torque at 4500 RPM at the wheels
* Air / Water / Air intercooler
* PowerWorks Calibrated Tune
* CAD designed & Packaged
* Eaton M62 Roots-style Supercharger
* Full emissions and driveability calibration
