Turbo Advice

What do you all think of the Xios turbo kit. I live in california, so I would like to pass emissions, and this kit keeps the stock cat so I'm hoping my car would pass smog. If you have any other good suggestions for a turbo kit. Also my 2000 zx3 has 95k miles on it, is it even a good idea to go turbo? Thanks for the help.

You may want to look into the powerworks kit. It is carb certified, you retain your cat, and it is cheaper. The xios turbo kit for the zetec places the turbo downstream in the exhaust which is going to reduce power. Just some things to think about.

Do you have stock internals? If so, I would go with the Powerworks. You can also go with the Roush kit if you can find one. The turbo is mounted up top and you can still keep the cat. I have a High flow cat on mine and I passed inspection here in NYC with no problem. The milage on your Focus will not be a problem as long as you get a good tune.
