nitrous on SVT with TC

Should I disconnect the traction control when using nitrous. How does the ECM pack off the trottle with the TC, does it cut the fuel, ignition or just retard the timing? What should I do? I almost have my kit hooked up and dont want to hurt my engine.

I really cant see it doing any harm to just leave it on.... after all you wont be spraying off the line.

The SVT ECU pulls the crap out of timing and works the antilock brakes when the traction control engages.

How would you keep the nitrous from coming on in first. I am using a MSD window switch along with a WOT switch, should I put a Button to activate it? Were would b the best place to put a activation button?

the MSD digital rpm window switch will enable you to skip first gear for the nitrous.

yes, i would install an arming switch. i put mine on the dash piece underneath the steering wheel

why do you want to skip first gear anyway? that's there for the people who would have a hard time getting traction. that shouldn't be a problem with our cars

Also, do you know if the box is water proof, having a hard time finding somewhere to mount the switch?

ok, my nitrous kit is finally all hooked up! it's awesome i love it and i'm addicted already !!!! lol

i have the zex window switch not msd. i really don't know why you want to skip first gear but you can. just hook it up first and i can help you. when you program it, it's the second step i'm pretty sure. then 3rd is kick on rpm and 4th level is kick off rpm.

as far as where to mount, i mounted mine up by the solenoids on the wall and used some velcro. i'm gonna post some pics up and start a thread real soon
