JRSC/BBK question

For all you guys with the JRSC and BBK...what intake are you running? I'm told some of the aftermarket intakes won't run with the JRSC in place. Suggestons? Pics? I just obtained a JRSC and am just trying to do my homework. All feedback is appreciated.

With the BBK and ford racing tune, you get a stumble between 2700-3000 Rpms with any aftermarket intake. Untill you get tuned with an intake, just use the stock box. Its free flowing enough and meant to be used with the Ford Racing Tune.

Forgot to mention that it will be installed/tuned by Tom. But what I was more asking was....is it POSSIBLE to run an aftermarket intake..and if so...which ones?

Yea, I recommend a Focussport CoolFlo if you are getting tuned by tom. Provides a heat shield and the ITG filter is awesome. Not to mention you'll hear that blower whine like crazy.

But Tom might already have some ideas for ya. He mention anything or recommend anything?

One small problem with that. While I do have the heat sheild (bought it from someone here). I don't have the ITG filter...nor do I have the stock intake elbow :) Any suggestions?

K&N Dryflow or buy an ITG filter from focussport. I guess for the elbow you are talking about the snorkle? Just get some ducting from home depot for now untill one pops up on the forums or check focus salvage or something along those lines.

I thought that people were having issues with the after market intakes mostly in instances where the MAF gets moved and/or the length of tube that the air must travel through is long/shorter?

I honestly dont have my stock box anymore, but plan on using my pipercross - which hasn't relocated the MAF and has just about the same length of hose...so I guess we shall see. lol.

I think its having an open filter right before the MAF. Thats what a focussport coolflow is and other SRI. The filter attaches to the MAF and the air is not as smooth passing through as it is with a stock box.

The Elbow. Hmm, you could make your own. Get some Cheap OBX type R Silicon elbow peices off ebay. 4ply so they will flex but not bend and disrupt airflow. I used one for a custom SRI before the JRSC.

I believe others have gone with some PCV pipe from Home Depot or Lowes
