Ideal Cams for PWSC?

I may have the opportunity to pick up a set of Ford Racing Stage 2 cams for a good price. Can I expect to see any real performance gains out of these? I think I remember reading that for FI setups, stock cams are the way to go, but I want to make sure.

For the cost of the cams , cost or headache of install , cost of a new tune needed and adjust cam gears.

No one has really shown a true back to back with and with out cams on a SC to prove there is a gain worth the cost

What kind of HP/TQ would you need to see worth what it is going to cost you to do the buy , install , tune ?

It would depend mostly on the cost of the tune. How much should I expect to pay for the tune, and would that tune wipe out the tune provided by PW for the blower?

What kind of power gains do turbo setups usually gain out of a good set of cams?

Yes to do another tune the new tune would be done over the top of the existing tune

Not sure what you would pay there for a complete tune but I charge 450.00 if you have a chip/flasher

You will have to do a tune from scratch not just change what you now have

tom, what do you think about cam gears. have you seen enough power gain from adjusting the cam timing on the stock cams to justify buying cam gears?

keep in mind that i will be getting the new tune any way after i build my motor and i will install them my self so no cost there. just the price of the gears.

Why would you have to start from scratch for cams? I was under the impression that you can basically "tune" it with the cam gears to get rid of some of the overlap. Unless, he doesnt have the PW tune on an XCal2 or Diablo.......

It's a reflashed stock ECU, no chip.

So basically, they're worth it to buy them only if I'm planning on building an engine to handle Massive's BBK, because I would have to re-tune anyways...
