Talking Duratech 2.0 turbo found... i think

well i just came across something really cool. i was checking out focus sports website and looking under the engine catagory when for the hell of it i looked under turbo charger and found they mak a turbo kit for the duratechs. sorry but this makes me kinda giddy. i dont have the time to look into it right now but i thought i would let you guys know. have a good night.

Lol, everybody knows about Focus Sport, at least I think. Also check out f2cars.com they comming out with the Hi-boost kit. If you interested, they really havn't released it though.

I'd get a Hi-Boost kit, because external wastegates are better than internal wastegates. The reason FS sells their kit with an internal is so that the install is more disguised, but that doesn't matter here so long as the car can pass a sniffer. If I ever move to Mississippi, then I won't have to worry about it at all.

Now if I had even close to that amount of money slated for a turbo, I'd be calling Turbo Tom (Focus Power) in NC instead of either of these- truth be known. It would cost more, but I'd rather have a turbo installed in the car that was tuned on a dyno than either of these.

i have a 2006 focus with 2.0 and i have the stage 2 focus sport kit the kit is made well just my two cents.

can you change it to an external. and is ther any sound clips of the aftermarket dv's

there's NOTHING wrong with internal gates. they're not great for 20+psi as the springs tend to be weak and the flow too low, but anything less than that and you're FINE. just about every OEM car out there runs an internal gate, INCLUDING the Bugatti Veyron..... if it's good enough for the Veyron, it's good enough for your focus.
