Question What is this? Prize for winner!

As embarassed as I might be I need to ask...

It fell out of the passenger side of the car one night during my initial marathon install. I e-mailed the pic (and a better one I think, this is the only one I have here at work) to Powerworks and they couldn't figure it out. It's about 3/4" by 1". The metal piece in the middle slides out and the outside is rubber. It appears as something would hang on it such as the overflow tank or something but with everything else going on I never figured it out.

Just for fun: I'll send the first person with a definitive answer a couple bucks via paypal to buy yourself a soda or beverage of your choice.

I'll get a better pic if needed (if I can still find it)

Good luck!

When you say fell out of the passenger side. Was it inside the car or outside?

The pic is a little fuzzy, but it definitely looks like a fitting of some sort that is associated with either cooling or A/C.

Fell out from under the passenger side of the engine bay, fell under the wheel well. My first thought was that it was some sort of a spacer under the motor mount that had been moved forward...

Yeah pic is a bit fuzzy but i can definitely say is a black doohickey. If my answer is defenitive enough for you u can send my soda money to ur best friend since i dont have pay pal. I hope u figure out what it is but in cases like this i say if after a month nothing goes wrong or calls for the part it was not necessary. But hey that doesnt work all the time.

I think the spacer is probably more accurate...

Any suspension clunks? Any suspension clunks that were there and now aren't?

I dont know what it is BUT I do know its not part of the suspension... hold on!!!

It looks like one of the rubber gromets from the power steering resivoir mounting bracket.

It's bigger than the power steering gromets, at least it's bigger than the 3 I know of I may be missing one.

It's about the size of the tip of ones thumb (the last joint)...

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...........

^^ It does and that's why I went with cooling, but then it reminded me of the bushing/spacer on the front sway bar.

Aw heck, I am really not sure...

is it one of the rubber bushing for the factory air box. i dont really know what they look like since i never had an air box. just a guess since you had to remove it. i was just trying to think of things you had to remove, lol. the power steering only has 3. not nothing on the sway bar either, it only has to that are removable and they are much bigger and different.
