Good #'s on a compression test???

Had 130 in all 4.. I thought that sounded good since they were all the same, but just wanted to double check...

Speed, I know what you mean. I had my SC rebuilt, and she still's not pulling like she use too. Granted, I hit a curb, but still no visual defects. No vacume leaks, no broken tubes, intercooler, etc etc. Wierd.

I asked Tom about carbon build-up, but it's not likely because I burn 93 octane. Hopefully I don't have a bent rod. So right now the car is sitting at Tom's waiting to be looked at...I hope he can get to it soon.

These are my compression results, but on a 9.1:1 piston and increase stroke.

135, 140, 142, 150. Somethings wrong on my side. The numbers should be nearly the same on all 4 pistons.

Definately double and triple check everything.

Have you been boosted last summer as well ? Just thinking, if it can be because of warmer temp...or plugs already worn out, air/fuel filter dirthy...

I'm kinda wondering about the plugs.. I've been boosted since about september? I forget exactly.. Fuel filter was changed out about a month ago and I haven't put that many miles one it since then... I do need to replace the thermostat gasket and the little plug inside of it since I have a leak.. so that could have a factor but I'm checking the level everyday so it's not like I'm running low on fluid...

ALWAYS check the spark plugs. They will tell you so much about how your engine is doing. If you have issues always pull a plug and have a look, it will show you if its lean, rich etc etc. If you have fouled a plug it will never run right till you clean/ replace it.

Plugs can only be read when a new set is installed , Run WOT then shut off coast in and check the plugs , Once you heat cycle the plugs they can no longer give you the information to get an accurate reading to judge fuel and timing
