Twin-Charged..

Ok, first of all.. I know with twin-charging that the blower would be a limitation. But say for instance you had a PWSC.. and already had a spare turbo manifold and T3 turbo to play with.. Could you expect any good high end gains in torque still, while maintaining that down low goodness of the PWSC?

Just curious since I have the parts to twin-charge.. and even though it wouldn't be totally practical.. It would be freakin' cool looking!

the GM boys with their Saturn RLs and Cobalt SS's have been trying to do this practically, and it wasnt working, mainly becuase theyre ECU is hard to crack. Talk with some of the guys with Grand Prix GTP's, I know they have a kit for a twin charge, maybe you can bounce ideas off of them.

The main problem you are going to run into is how to combine the boost charges...the PW kit forces the air through its own intake mani...would your turbo boost through the supercharger? You might have to fab up some kind of dual purpose intake mani.

Not to mention all of the tuning and down time your going to need to have....You live in NC...call up Tom, he might be up for a new project. Id like to see the out come.

Thanks for the input.. I'll see if I can't talk to some people about those issues..

Yea.. I didn't think about the issue with boosting into the super-charger manifold.. but I got some tricks up my sleeve..

Get a procharger instead.... get a twin turbo intercooler with 2 inlet and 2 out lets... let the systems run their own course untill about 8 inches from the tb and have a y pipe there. Run the blow through 6 inches from the throttle body and run 1 bov on each system 2 inches from the y pipe. it is a bear to tune.

I recall a few years ago there was someone on here who attempted this with a custom turbo and a SVT JRSC on his SVT and I think he ended up killing his engine not too long after they started tuning it.

Right right.. of course the Procharger would be easier to setup for this idea.. but like I said I have the PWSC.. and a turbo, manifold, etc.. that is waiting on another build whenever the hell that will happen.

Anyways.. I wonder as long as there is enough room between the blower and the firewall if an adapter could be made that goes inbetween the intake runners and the cylinder head where the secondary induction system could be linked up at.

Anyways.. I appreciate all the info yall!
