ProCharger vs Vortec..

What are the differences between the Procharger and the Vortex SC Kits? They seem relatively the same. What are the advantages of each?

Hmmm....PC...easier to install, no need to tap oil pan, easy to mod it for FMIC, no need to relocate battery, slighty bigger gains ? Enought ?

I thought the gains were about the same. The only thing that bothers me is having to relocate the battery.

Yeah the Procharger hangs mad low. I was looking for a Vortec for a while myself, but those basterds had to quit making it. Personally I wouldnt mind relocating the battery, and I would rather tap the oil pan than have to change the oil out of the Procharger every so often.
You buying Brians kit?

Really.. You change the oil in the procharger every 6K miles. Very easy if you ask me. Procharger will make the most power. Vortex is done.

I have NOT once scraped my procharger... It's not as low as everyone thinks. The actual unit sits right behind the foglight so it is completely concealed by the bumper. For the Vortech, the battery is relocated into the bumper - that's a lot of mass to be putting on an aftermarket mount in the bumper.. I think it'd be better in the trunk or somewhere else.

As for changing the oil in the procharger, it's really not that hard.. you can do it blind very easily, and yes even with the car not lifted... It's easier than changing the engine oil on the Zetec's. All you need is a screw driver for the dipstick plug and the wrench for the drain plug... and a bottle for the oil.

It still hangs lower than I'm comfortable with.
