The rebuild begins

Well if everything goes right I "should" be starting the rebuild this weekend. Unfortunatly since I've been out of work since Feb I'll be putting STOCK rods and pistons back in it.

I dont consider this a set back, after all the whole point was to push the stock stuff as far as it could go... and we definitly did. We (me and Tom) have learned alot from the experience. I will be turning the boost down just a bit... I'm going to drop it down to 320whp which seems to be the best and safest area to be in for a pump gas motor. We have also learned about the SVT fuel pressure settings and how to manipulate them to keep from upgrading the fuel system.

All in all I believe it has been a GREAT learning experience and I have met alot of great people along the way...... but never fear this is just temporary.... I have a major motor build in the works... just as soon as I get gainfully employed again.

Got much respect for what you've been doing and i hope everything goes smoothly for you.

What was traction like at 360whp? I would think it would get to a point where the power is kinda useless cause you can't get it to the ground effectively.

Is that 723hp drag focus Tom has still FWD? and that thing only runs 11's right? that sucks for that much power there's other cars that weigh more and have less power running faster then that.

Your comments on the subject please.

John, jsut keep your torque around 250 and let's have some fun at the strips.

I too have some big plans for my next motor. I do like to hear what your plans are.

Actually traction was pretty good... I think the car was faster simply from where I lost low and mid power... it wouldnt spin as much

Yeah, man that must suck, only 320hp......Thats so depressing, NOT!

What level of torque does traction become a problem for the stage 4 clutchmaster and an LSD?
