Stock Intake Manifold with Boost Question

Ok...I haven't been able to find much on this, but is the stock (PLASTIC) intake manifold safe to use when adding a turbo?

The factory plastic IM should handle the boost just fine.

Was wondering the same thing, also what makes the '00 IM different from later years? Have heard a bit about people trying to find em but not much about why.

the 00' manifold is a one peice design while the 01' and later manifolds are a two peice design. the 00' has round runners and the 01' and newer have flat skiny runners. the 00' can be ported on the runners and tb opening while the 01' and up can only be ported at the tb.

I've seen the same chart and the 00' manifold flows almost exactly inbetween the hlong and short runners of the SVT intake manifold. The 01' flowed something like 167cfm and the ported 00' flowed I think 217cfm and the SVT intake manifold flowed below and above that number but not my too much. Also before I get flamed or anything those numbers are not exact just from what I remember. The other aftermarket which was a hnd made peice flowed above 300cfm.

There are TWO different 2000 model manifolds... you may not have the single piece one.
