Mustang Dyno Question

My question is... If they put in a weight that is more than what your car weighs on a mustang dyno will this understate your hp?? Reason i ask is because about a year ago i had a dynojet at low 150ish and i just put it on a mustang dyno and its telling me 133. I dont get it????

On a chassis dyno, the weight of the vehicle is irrelevant, as it is the mass of the rollers that must be overcome, not the mass of the vehicle, and that mass is known.

Your issues may be with the SAE corrections. Some dyno softwares don't correct horsepower readings. Uncorrected HP is higher than SAE corrected net HP.

it's the difference between the two types of dynos.

And the answer to his question, is yes, if they overestimate the weight of the vehicle on a mustang dyno, you should in theory get a lower output reading.

there would have to be a stick or something in my motor for those numbers to be correct and on top of that it estimated TQ to be only 10 lbs less than hp.
