Question Supercharger Vs Turbo

Does anyone have a reason why I should put a Supercharger on my 2004 ZX3 instead of a turbo? Thanks.

try using the search button??? Its really your choice on what you wanna go with. Supercharger = instant power, but takes power to make power since belt driven. Turbo= a little lag but its free power from exhaust fumes and can usually make more power than a SC.

I am personally a Turbo Fan. Here is a little quote for you:

"The sound of the compressor spooling, the surge of power and the dancing needle on the boost gauge, the true extacy of driving."

Personally, Iíd rather have a turbo. BUTÖ

Is your car registered in Manhattan? The NY metro area emissions test is much tougher than the one for the rest of the state. A supercharger will be much easier to install in street-legal form. Also, I havenít yet seen a turbo setup that flashes the ECU instead of using a chip, whereas I have read about that being done with a supercharger. Iím not sure if you can pass emissions with a chip installed, but maybe thatís not an issue for you.

Since your car is a 2004, Iíd lean toward the supercharger Ė itís more reliable, and itís just a neater solution IMO.

But like I said, I want a turboÖ
