Question ZEX DRY KIT MELT ZETEC ENGINE ???

HI THERE
IT IS TRUE THAT ZEX DRY KIT CAN BLOW YOUR ENGINE?
YOU NEED TO FIX THE ENGINE AFTER THREE RUNS?
YOU NEED TO MOD YOU BRAKES?
A 50 SHOT CAN MELT YOU PISTONS? -35-50-75 SHOTS??
WHAT HIDDEN TROUBLES CAUSES TO INSTALL A ZEX DRY KIT ON A ZETEC ENGINE?
I USED IT AS A COMMUNTE CAR, BUT I DONT WANT TO BE BEAT BY A "HONDA"
I HAD THE NORMAL MODS: INTK-EXHST-CAMS-HDRS-
DID I NEED A DIABLO CHIP?
I MEAN I HEARD OF CRAZY STUFF " IT CAN DESTROY YOUR ENGINE EASILY"
"YOU NEED TO MOD THE PUMP AND THE BRAKES" THREE RUNS AND YOUR ENGINE NEEDS
TO BE RESTORE" " THE OEM CLUCHT WONT HOLD IT"... AND SO ON.....

DOES SOMEBODY KNOWS THE PROS AND THE CONS OF ZEX DRY KIT?
PLEASE ADVICE THE FORD ZX3 OWNER HOW TO BEAT HONDAS!!!

THANKS

Try turning off the all caps key, and alot of this is already in here..

But to answer quickly, go with a wet kit, NOS or NX are both good, a 50 shot is safe on stock parts. and DO NOT use a chip with nitrous..do a little reading here in the nitrous threads and you will get almost all of your answers
Welcome to the board

nitrous does not kill foci, timing does. 75 shot is safe with timing retarded or with 93+octane to compensate. but go wet, a dry kit assumes your injectors will do what it wants them to, i don't trust it. Seen 3 foci die on dry kits

ok
i will use 50 shot at most, and i have the cams retarded,
but what im looking for is the hidden facts,
clucth willhold it?, dis i need to change the brake lines?
what gauges really need ?
i had a friend who owns a performance shop, and he told me
that he seen a lot of blow engines, wrecked pistons, melted rings?
im triying to use the safe system for the engine,
i heard that for a 50 shot, the stock fuel pump is ok, true?
i need the facts about it?
soory because of all my questions
but i want to know the reailty not just the "speed felling"
about ntrx (zex dry kits)

thnks

timing as related to nitrous is ignition timing, not cam timing. oem clutch is good to about 170whp including nitrous, after that a lot of ppl have troubles. It's never a bad idea to upgrade the clutch. Brake lines are not the first thing to upgrade on brakes. Going faster mandates brakes, not nitrous. get good tires first, then pads, then rotors then possibly lines in that order. A nitrous pressure gauge is nice to have, you can know what you have left and make better plans. If you can afford an air/fuel ratio gauge it's nice too, you can watch it during spray to make sure you are staying in the rich zone during wot, if not you may have a problem that nitrous will only make a lot worse. egt is another nice gauge but a little more complicated to get into. In my experience, the fuel pump (assuming you got a good one from ford and not a turd) will not be affected by a 50 shot. But with a dry kit you are asking your injectors to do double duty which I just don't trust on my car. Zex is a good kit, but If I had to choose I'd just go with nx, safer, easier and more reliable imo. Hope this helps, ask more ?'s if you have them. I'd rather answer "too many ?'s" now than answer why your car blew up because you didn't do enough homework. good luck, nitrous is fun

thhanks for your post
it clears my view about it, ' cause is difficult to find information about it,
every wants to sell you everything posible, you know...and 90% of the people i met
they are just into "plastic surgery" and not into the engine,...
so do you beleive that a 50 shot needs new injectors? how many pnds?20-24..??
about sparks plugs, wich ones a the best option for this aplication zex, nology, bosh?
about the pads "green stuff pads" are ok? or is a better brand out there?
at what hp or shot # should i change the pistons, or is just a vague fear about
"melt" them

really, really
thanks man!

Your injectors stay stock, they have nothing to do with a wet nitrous system, do not run a dry kit, you seem to be getting ALOT of bad info from somewhere. Do not worry about the pistons at under a 75 shot, if everything is okay in the motor, just put it together correctly, or pay a pro to do it right, read the nitrous sticky it may help

I've seen the stock Auto transmission hold up to 190 lbs of Torque.
