Focus powered dune buggy

Has anyone ever used or know someone that has a dune buggy with a Focus motor in it ? I would like to build a dune buggy using a Focus motor and drivetrain. I think it would make for a nice project. Does anyone have any thoughts about this idea ?

just use a Vw engine. way easy to work on and no computer, you can get a good 130hp out of them and its plenty to have fun

I dont know of anyone doing it, but i dont see why not......They respond well to turbos and s/c's (never been anywhere near a dune buggie). I like the VW engine idea. Those old air cooled and turboed bettle engines can generate quite a bunch of power with the right turbo...

^ you don't need more than 150 HP tops in a buggy!

try the Meyers Manx,

custom dune buggie, comes with a Subie engine, in states of tune from 150-400 hp, can be made as an onroad carver, or an off road thrasher.
