Lots of people have these intakes- it positions the filter high in the engine bay as compared to the lower mounting of CAI's. Some people have reported issues with the engine losing power because of hot air being draw in instead of cold air, however hot air is more likely to increase fuel economy and decrease emissions. I don't think you would ever have a problem with this because you live in Oregon. If you want to go through the trouble, there are other people who live in wamer regions who've used shop vac tubing to run a hose through the fender and pipe cold air around to the filter. I'm you can find someone who can help you with this.

Steeda reports 5-6 hp, and CAI's report 10-12 hp increase. Most people who choose the Steeda choose it because of the high filter location, and added security of water possibly being sucked up into the engine.

It looks really nice mounted under the hood too.

Mine will be coming in tomorrow so I will let you know. I have had a SRI on my last car and I live in Alabama, honestly I never had any issues with loss in power or anything even in above 100 degree weather.

Also keep an eye out b/c I have a plan and it will be a How to when I finish it to get that colder air to the filter.

I cant explain the sound... but it looks great. I can feel a little increase in power off the line but not much... it looks nice under the hood, and i have never had ANY problems with it (living in florida where its 90+ and always rains)

duffman355 has one on his ST, the thing sounds badass.

i nice deep growl, noticably louder than stock, and you can tell the car has a bit more get-up-and-go
