Speed or Handling??

I belive both are equally important my friend was arguing with me today he said handling is no fun its all about straight line power and I wouldn't know that because I've never ridin in a fast rwd car (which is incorrect) Personally I think speed is fun but nothing can beat handling being able to take the curves and turns I take in my car at the speeds I take them I would never regret it

Infact earlier today I saw some chinese dude in accord my friends said he got this odd look on his face as I very easily pulled past him in the curves another problem I got with the 2F2F crowd is they think acceleration is god they never realize how fun handling is

Handling is infinitely more fun and more important than straight line speed. Anyone can put it to the wood and go fast down the strip, but it's when the curves come that the true sensory rewards of driving are realized. Having enough control and finesse to expertly guide a car through a set of turns is the biggest rush. Don't get me wrong, acceleration can be fun too. A buddy of mine recently got a 1990 RX-7 GTU with an LS1 transplant. Yeah, the thing doesn't hook up until FOURTH. I have great respect for that kind of thrust, but I don't love it. Corner carving is where it's at.

Yeah, I'll take handling any day. I love going fast easy, but you can do so much more with handling, and it takes way more skill. If you have a car with good handling but half power, you'll at least keep up, if not beat, the powerhouse http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/fe...lot/index.html One Elise, thank you.

I prefer screeching the rear tires. Handling is a must imo. Speed isn't a requirement to have fun.

haha.. It's nice to get the throwback of an old Camaro or Cobra, but one drop of rain on the ground and they are useless. I agree that both are important and fun aspects of driving!

Have you driven a Kia Rio ?
It actually handles well since it sits 6 inchs off the ground but at 96hp, it's just no fun to drive because you can't push it around the corners....lol
