SHO powered Focus....

I did a search but came up empty.
Has anyone stuffed an SHO 3.0 v6 into a focus yet I see that they are using some v-8's so a nice light, 220hp V-6 out to fit the bill nicely.
Maybe a cross between the RWD kit and the FWD SHO motor for a neat-o AWD car ?
I may be dreaming but this SHO motor is calling me into the garage.....

This comes up now and then. No way a SHO engine is going into a Focus. Sure, enough money will do anything, but none of us will ever see a SHO Focus on the street, take that to the bank, baby, and remember where you heard it.

although the v6 would be easier to fit/fabricate, and would be more realistic on the wallet. if they are fitting v8's in the can get the 6's.

I don't see why anyone would put SHO motor in a focus. I would go with a 3.0 Contour SVT motor, that would be the setup right there. I have seen a 2.5 in one, and if you can fit that you can fit the 3 liter.

I don't think it would fit (without MAJOR work) but the V8 is a sweet engine. I had a '97 SHO that I traded on a beautiful '90 Vette with 24,000 miles a couple of years ago and I've regretted it ever since. They do have a problem with some where the cam sprockets loosen and destroy the engine. The solution is to have the sprockets welded on to avoid the problem. Other than that, the engine is very durable and quick! This link to a SHOForum will give you an idea of what I'm talking about: http://www.shoforum.com/cgi-bin/ulti...;f=39;t=000154

the SHO is a 3.8 v6 if im not mistaken- Super High Output. with 220 hp. that would make the focus FLY. i would much rather that than the contour engine. 25 ponies more.
