New Caliber SRT-4

Have any of you seen any pics of the new caliber srt-4 it looks pretty nice! It has 300 fwhp which I don't know why they should have went with awd but either way it's faster than the neon srt-4.

IMHO, this thing is an ugly lowered minivan ( aesthetically ).

And the neon SRT4 is no better. Its a neon for frig sakes, they are not good cars. Same goes for the first intrepids, total lemons. Bad wiring insulation, any older one nowadays most likely has a few gremlins, too thin brake rotors - brakes wear out fast...etc. Not that the neon has these same problems, but in similar its not too reliable. Just because something is a special model # or whatever, doesn't mean jack.

What about a SRT4 Cavalier? No Good. But back to the topic, i dislike the design completely.

im seriously considering buying this car, i mean how can you go wrong. Its tall, the engine is set nice and high, its heavier, why would i wanna get a mazdaspeed 3 that is cheaper, has a better interior, better suspension, better chassie and better overall quality when i can get a raggin boar, lol. Seriously though, ill take the speed3 over this thing any day, its going to tq steer too much, not to mention understeer like crazy so forget about taking the turns fast. The caliber has 300hp and 260lb/ft of tq, but id rather sacrific the hp and have 280lb/ft of tq that the mazda has. But the mazda will probably tq steer alittle bit anyway. Just the caliber i think is a poor excuss for a neon replacement, and once again SRT might as well saved some weight and deleted all the windows, and leave the windshield b/c all the srt4 is good for as far as performance goes is going straight.

I throw the Caliber in the same pile with the PT Cruiser, Vibe, etc.

And the name of this pile is 'UGLY'.

Im not sure I would say the PT Cruiser is ugly. But as for the Caliber well, all I can say is it looks like one of those power ranger dinosaur robot things (can you tell I wasn't into power rangers) not to mention my Dad had one as a rental car, and he could only rave about what a POS it was.

I would much rather have the new Mazdaspeed3 than the caliber Srt-4.

I'd call the Caliber the ugly, redheaded step child of the PT and HHR.
