Question Whats meant by throttle response?

I'm looking at getting a 65mm T/B and i've heard alot of good stuff about it, but the most widley given complement is that it gives amazing throttle response. Now, i think I understand what it means, but can anyone whos bought it tell me how exactly the throttle is different? Is it more touchy or what? Thx

When you press the gas pedal, the car responds/accelerates quicker with 65mm TB when compared to stock TB.
Car will feel jumpy when you first press the gas with the 65mm TB until you get use to it.

the pedal is more firm and feels like there is more pedal to push. itll be jumpy until you get used to it.

Oh, I need that. The ZTS is kinda sluggish at take off. Will a UDP assist in 'jumping'?

you know how when you hit the gas it feels like it takes a second for the car to really kick and start moving if you put in something for throttle response it will take care of that making that time lessen

Also, on the stock TB, the throttle butterfly has a "tip-in' so you don't get immediate throttle response when you press the gas. The 65mm TB gets rid of the "tip-in."

So, the 'tip-in' is Ford's way of saying, "Slow your ass down, sucker!".

For the average driver, the stock TB is fine. For people who want immediate throttle response, the 65mm TB is the way to go.

Focii owners are not average. That's why we drive 'em and fix 'em up. That means I'm gonna buy one.
