A V6 automatic Mustang....thats fast???

Well I was surfing around streetfire and caught this video. I thought it was rather interesting that a not so desirable packaged mustang was turned into a little street sleeper for rather cheap. I mean its not anything incredibly fast, but its something I havnt really heard to much of. Does anyone have any more info on people doing this?

That was pretty cool. I always thought about how a turbo v6 stang would run, that about summed it up. I wonder what kind of numbers it's putting down.

A junkyard, lots of 80's cars has turbos. It looks like his might be put together using parts he got at swap meets, but it is possible to find intercooled turbo motors in junkyards.

Learning how to do it yourself is key.

yeah, that is Justin Starkey's V6 from VMP tuning. He is very good with tuning. The car has the stock long block and has also done some high 10s.

As for the car running 4lbs, he is going to need a tune when he starts raising the boost. In fact, I would have thrown one on there when I first got it.

I think you all forget the new v6 is a 4.0L with 210 Hp and 240Lbft of tq. And the old GT 99-04 v8 had 260Hp and only a handfull more tq. The old 3.8 of the old V6 was 190hp and it was over head valve which is a tired technology.

I think the new V6 is decent eventhough I dont like the car w/o the front fogs(but it can be had with little ones in the pony package) or the dual exaust. But other than that I think Id take a V6 5 speed, it would be fun, auto tragic hell no, but i wouldnt want any auto car.

I also think however investment in a v6 may be moot sence it only about 1600 or less dollars for a 300 hp v8 gt which onl changes a payment 30-70 bux. Id rather have the HP to start with and add more. There is no replacement for displacement but eh difrent strokes for diff folkes. Also turbo is 3k most of the time so 3k vs 1600 for a Gt. I know where my money is going.
