one thing i must clearly told you all.

one thing i must clearly tell you all.
china drove on the right side of the road.

and, focus also has his chinese name,福克斯.it is the pronuncation of focus.
because focus and fox sound similar.so when i first saw the name 福克斯,i thought it was a new type of car that design for china only.but when i got to know that "THIS IS FOCUS",wow,it is amazing.hahaha.

i love ford,and i love volve,mazda,jaguar,mercury,aston martin,and lincoln,althrough i haven't seen most of these cars.

the focus is quite an awesome, understated economy car, that has some kick to it, to make it a great car to drive...

even when everything in my day goes wrong, I know all I have to do is get in my car and drive around, and I am all happy again....

I know it is wierd to see the same car being sold to other countrys. I have been a few countrys japan, germany, Iraq and mexico. The cars are allot diffrent even though some are the same make and model. Wanlin I like reading your post as you make them interesting.

its also kind of cool to note that the focus is more of a luxury car in china.

it's probably more along the lines of Lexus in the US, not because its actually luxurious, but because most of china still doesnt own cars. Buicks are like Bentleys, and Bentleys, well bentleys are pretty much unheard of.

I was reading an article in R&T, about them driving a regualr old CTS, and they got pulled over by regular motorists to get pictures. Imagine driving something like a Mustang GT, or god, a Ferrari or Porsche.

Wanlin, what do you do for a living?

Hey Wan, how about you send over some of the (attractive) Chinese women instead of the Focus and I'll call it even.

I can't remember if Wan Lin is in HK or not, but when I was over there everything was Toyota. There were a few Nissans, Dihatsus, Hondas, BMW's, Jags, etc, but the overwhelming majority of vehicles were Toyota. Fords were also rare, but I saw and photographed a Focus owner, a Ka owner, saw a Laser, saw a Taurus wagon, and noticed that all the ice cream trucks were Fords.

Ford is smart to build the cars in the area where the cars are to be sold. This brings jobs to the economy, keeps the price down, profits up, and also allows the car to be priced so that people in the country can afford it. I don't think we'll see Chinese made Focis appear for sale in the US because it would be more expensive than cars made in the US or Mexico. As of 05, all US Focis are made in the US. The Fusion took over the Mexican plant.

It's cheapest to go to HK from Jan-Feb, or Oct-Dec. Get ready for culture shock though TD, one out of 5 people smoke, but you'll have to look hard to find a butt on the sidewalk. Throw some trash down and everyone will know you're American. There's plenty of Expatriate clubs in the Wan Chai district, and the girls in there will swarm on you. Most people speak understandable English. I'm looking forward to going back myself

Oh.. pollution is hell. Asia needs to get on top of all that very soon or people are going to start keeling over in the streets on windless days. I've heard Shanghai is worse than HK, but haven't been there.

No disrepect to Wan, but actually Japan would be my choice of destinations when it comes to the women. But hey, I love all Asian women, so long as they're relatively attractive. I just love the culture, language, hell everything about Japan I love. I was born in the wrong time frame and the wrong lands.
