Well, I knew it would come to this.

I'm finally selling my SVT. Sad to say, it's just too much to maintain and tune this car. A clutch for $400+, exhaust $300+, and turbo kits that cost $7000+. And it's hard to find parts without going online to find them and then pay high shipping fees. So, look for my car in the for sale section in the coming month.

I have two options as far as what to get next: A Honda S2000 or a J-spec Silvia. I just want to see what your opinions are.

It's been real, and it's been fun, but I can't say it's been real fun. Thanks to everyone who helped me out when I needed it.

S2000, although the silvia would be a very nice car to have.

I say silvia because you'll have more fun with the turbo and the s2000 is not a drag car its like the svt its a autocross car. IMO

For the S2000, I might take it to autocross more than I would the drag strip. And if I got the Silvia, it would end up having drift tuning done to it, lol.

I know someone who builds them. Getting it through the local shop if I want one.

S14? The S15 was supposed to have a weak tranny with questionable gearing, but the S15 SR20 was a stronger engine.

I'm thinking hard about taking a project 240 myself, so I have a soft spot for the Silvia. S2k should be a more polished car tho.

So you're selling the SVT because it's too much to maintain and to tune, and buying a car that costs signifiacntly more than the SVT and will cost more to maintain and tune? I can understand upgraditus, but just come out and say it, man. :)

I'd go for the S2000 and then autocross it a lot.

The SVT was harder to tune because not a lot of people could tune it, and those who could would charge a lot. I'm leaning more towards the S2000.

Also, I'm upgrading becuase my parents are too. They just bought a brand new 06 Mercury Mariner Hybrid, and my mom is getting a brand new, 07 BMW 335i Twin Turbo You know I'll be taking that out one night.

You beat me to the question, s3r.

I second S2000 just because it's a fun track and autocross car. Heck, if you really want, you can even make it into a drifter as well. It's the truer sports car, a roadster, beautiful looking, and just plain fun for all sorts of driving.
