Buying a Focus, was hoping for some pointers on things to look for

Hey everyone, this is my first time on this site, and I am in the process of purchasing a 2000 ZTS and was wondering if there is anything that i should pay close attention too when I give it a look over. I have heard they are good cars and I am looking forward to spending some time here reading over things. Thanks for you help

always make sure that whomever you do buy the car from, that they don't have to start it with a screwdriver or touch the two wires together to get a spark, I think that would definately throw up a red flag or two!!!!!! j/k good luck finding a ride you can call your own

Check to see if all the recalls for that model year have been done, especially the fuel pump recall. Check for a regular maintenance schedule and getting a CarMax report never hurts.

How many miles are on the car?
