already pissed off

you know i came here to maybe get some people to help me with a problem but it seems like everyone is too busy to help someone with a problem even if its as simple as "i dont know how to turn the volume up" take 30 seconds and HELP the person out, thats one of the reaons this forum was created. it ticks me off. i have an important post waiting a reply from someone, and i see stupid shitty posts get responses faster, are people really that inconsiderate?

im not trying to piss anyone off here, im just saying, be a little more helpful to your fello Foci driver. no matter what the question is. remember, you were stupid about your car too at one point.

He is reffering to this thread >>
Heat problem?

I don't know why people don't respond but one answer could be because they don't know the answer to your issues!

well before getting pissed, remember most people will not comment if they arent sure about their answer, sometimes it takes a while for someone with knowledge in the subject for which your question is based, to log on.

^^ damn i sound smart =)

to answer your unanswered post, i had a sony headunit do this to me once, it would get very hot after a while, and shut off for about 15-20 minutes. i could tell by how hot my cd was after i ejected it. this worked for me and may do the same for you. pull your stock radio out. use a can of the compressed compressed oxygen in a can (used to blow dust out of keyboards etc and avail. anywhere) and blow out all the exhaust holes around your unit, also blow it into your headunit itself. reinstall and give it a run. it worked for me for about 8 months, then i replaced it. sometimes its just dust buildup not allowing it to cool properly. good luck

were you playing the radio at high volume? Sounds like the internal amp might be overheating and going into protect mode.. if so..turn it down till you get some aftermarket gear ;)

DO NOT USE CO2.

Use Compressed Air. CO2 is a liquid. Liquid is bad for electronics.

Compressed Air has no moisture so it is the right choice.
