Tell Me What The F Is Going On!

I use to think mustang GT's and Camaro Z28s were decent cars....... but now im not so sure, why you ask? Because my pos focus is acually beating them.

Mods i have= 2000 intake manifold, Vibrant CAI, Pace Setter Header, Bosal Cat-back, 9mm wires, Ported TB, Turbo Tornado hehe, Cf hood along with a lil more weight reduction, 17's with good tires, Short Shifter.

Ive raced i dont know how many 5.0's and Newer 4.6L's and i get them off the line and am right beside them till i hit 4th gear then they pull ahead, i think thats sad personally, am i not right? As for the Camaro, i didnt do as well as i did against the mustangs but i still was right beside them till 4th gear......... the focus has impressed me for the few little things i have done to it!!

Whats your opinion on all of this???

My opinion is that too many folks think there cars are better than V8 powered cars.

Taking a focus and sticking a bunch of bolt on parts on then racing an old stock car isn't impressive.

Pre 93 camaros are dogs.

87-93 mustangs run anywhere from mid 14's to mid 15's stock

Depends on year and trans etc.

i think you do have the benifit of weight. so if you add that together with older engines and cars, possibly auto trans, possibly bad drivers... well, the focus starts looking better and better to me.

now, i cant go out and beat v8s, but thats cause i dont have anything under my hood but my little spi. but the focus is an impressive little car. with good gas milage too

You beat them because they are not racing you. People on this site must learn, just because you own a focus does not mean it can beat all other cars. I mean seriously, with those bolt ons you have listed? Man, you'd be hard pressed to beat those cars if you had nitrous, seriously. Now, lets hear more about how light our focus is, and how horsepower does'nt matter....
