Too heavy. Would rather have the 1.8T than the VR6.

The only car that has a right to be called an R32 is a Nissan. In my opinion.

I saw one the other day. Looks just like a $30,000 Golf.
Well, it did have the R32 badge instead of the Golf badge.

I like the car but at 3400+ lbs it's even more portly than the regular GTI. I think the AWD is very cool though and considering the aftermarket support for the VR6 it would be a cool used car in a few years to tune. I'm still going to lean towards an STi or hopefully an RS if they do come (hopefully cheaper though)

I just finished reading the article in my copy of Autoweek. Seems like a nice car alright, but for the price I can think of a lot of other cars I'd rather have. I don't like the rear bumper treatment, it looks too much like some ricer's aftermarket add-on rather than a factory piece.

R32, EVO, & STI comparison
I think its as bad as Hell.
"For instance the R32 is down nearly 60hp compared to the STi and is quite a bit slower in timed acceleration runs as reported in most magazines. It also had the weakest tires in this group, yet it managed to come within a second of the other two cars in the timed laps." Jamie Vondruska.
