i need a bit of help

can anyone tell me whether the new shift knob form the 06 focus will fit on the 04 model....? i went to ford today and they couldn't tell me... they said i had to buy one to see if it could be done..... any help???

I'm fairly certain it will but you'd have to disable the reverse lockout on your car. At least you might have to since the 06 doesn't have reverse lockout. The shift knob looks like it has though. Maybe the new shift knob will work either way.
