Saleen Focus? for sale...

So there's a 2004 Saleen Focus for sale here in iowa, SVT's are rare... and these are ALOT more rare then those... i was just wondering if anyone knows anyone that actually has one, or if anyone on here has one to tell how well they perform.

Anyone have any ideas? i thought they could outhandle the SVT's but werent as fast, until they pumped the NOS through its system....

Also, how are the Roush (spelling>?) Focus's also? anyone has any of those...?

id take a svt over saleen, saleen is really just buying the name saleen on your car, only thing they have is from wha ti hear the suspension is better then the svt's and they hold value better because of the saleen name, overall they arent worth the 24k price tag

The Saleen is quite nice and the handling is awesome. I almost bought an 05' for $19K the other week but passed on it because of our harsh winters here and also, no "ABS," and rear-drum brakes. Although, you'd have the 2.3 Duratec which is cool because there's Cosworth performance that you can add that'll give huge gains.

SVT>Saleen
I drove the saleen and you can feel the slowness.
I love my SVT 99% better.

Before I bought my SVT I test drove a brand new saleen back to back. Saleen is nice, a little harsher ride, but it felt like it could eat up any corner. 5 spd vs 6 spd is a matter of personal opinion, but I liked the 5 spd in the saleen better. But overall real similar cars, the saleen cost about $6000 more so I went with the used SVT.

This Saleen is for sale for 15,997 and its a 2004... dont know how many miles are on it... but i'm pretty sure im going to atleast test drive it if i can get the chance...

I looked it up and it seems to have a NOS bottle that comes with it. This one, of what i could see has all round disk brakes. I autocross, or atleast am getting into it... i just wonder how much better this saleen could do at an event like that? where the better handling car wins...

I'd only but the Saleen for the 2.3. But no rear disc brakes? Like what was said earlier, you're only buying the name.

You could get the the antilock disc brakes all around but it was like a $5000 option. They are nice big breaks but no thanks!! That puts the sticker for a new one around 27k! ya right!!

Honestly, I love saleen, but the SVT is a better bet. My sister has one, and its a blast, and I've driven a 2004 Saleen, and a 2006, and neither was nearly as fun as the SVT.

Personally, I think you should just screw 'em both, and buy a nice 2005 ST.
