They'd sell more if she'd show us the back seat

I got an investment report from Ford recently that included a voting ballot. Here's the 1-10, and the *note* between 2-3.
1- Election vote for board of directors. Lists names of people, vote for or against blah blah blah.
2- Ratification of selection of independent registered public accounting firm
* The board of directors recommends a vote against proposals 3-10*
3- Relating to disclosure of Officers' compensation
4- Relating to the company reporting on CAFE lobbying efforts.
5- Relating to adopting cumulative voting for the election of directors
6- Relating tying Executive Compensation to a reduction of lifetime product greenhouse emissions
7- Relating to the consideration of a recapitalization plan to provide that all company stock have one vote per share
8- Relating to publishing a report on global warming/cooling
9- Relating to the company removing references to sexual orientation from equal employment practices.
10- Relating to the company requiring that the Chairman of the Board have no management duties, titles, or responsibilities.

The little note was a bit upsetting. #3 What's so bad about showing what the board's officers are paid? OK, #4, we probably don't want to know what Ford lobbyists had to do under the table for political support ("We need the ad girl here pronto for Ted K!!"). #5 probably goes along with #7- and doesn't seem like a good idea to me either since company X could buy enough stock to control Ford. Now #6 I LIKE THAT ONE. Wouldn't the world be better if we paid company execs based on performance? Like, how much extra money would the US gov have if we paid our congressional and executive leaders based on the average income of US citizens? Anyway, #8 seems like a waste of money to me, and neither proves nor shows anything we don't already recognize or dispute. 9 and 10 are pointless also.

Being the king of useless information, I just thought I'd throw all that in there to clutter other brains like mine.
