Lookin to purchase a focus station wagon.. Are there any years that are better than some??
Which engine ?? I am lookin for a manual that I know. Just lookin for a little reliable family wagon, no frills just basic transpo. Probably the years between 2000 and 2003. I could afford.. any help on these years?? Problems, issues.. Thanks Andy

If your looking to buy a used wagon, the ones from 2000-2004 all come with a Zetec 2.0L standard. This is a good engine, and there are many parts available for it. If you find one, go for one thats as new as possible, cuz many of the early models had some reliability issues. If you are able to find a used 2005 wagon, I'd go for that, if you have the money. I personally prefer the Duratec 2.0L, and I also like the newer styling a little better, and the reliability is better.

I just checked the ford site. If you get a ZXW SE (base model wagon) (SE pack includes power windows/locks/mirrors, jeyless entry, A/C, intermittent wipers, and MP3 CD player.) With a stickshift, and only one option (Anti-lock Brakes, essential on a familiy vehicle) it'll run you about $15,500. If you could lease/buy one of those, it might be your best bet.
