just wondering how most people handle their sticks...i'm a palm myself, i dont see how people joystick it.

i do both, depends how im driving. just cruising i usually palm it. when im powershifting i joy stick it.

I voted palm, even though its more palm/fingers (palm push to 1/3/5, finger pull for 2/4). Weather I'm on the street or on the track, its the same. You don't need much force.

I go with Palm and palm/fingers as well. I have the factory stick for SVT being a ball and it just feels too weird to hold it like a joystick. When I'm going 1/2 and 3/4 I usually use my fingers and cup it over top or upper corner.

yeah i was driving my moms 01 escort and i tried to joystick and i almost shifted into the wrong gear lol.

btw...when you're flooring it...is it normal when you shift from first to second the tires like squeel for a second

If you mean normal like it should happen every single time, then no it's not normal, but if you shift right, and have enough power to break traction, then it can happen, I'm not exactly sure what you are trying to get at with your question, but if you are worried about it being a bad thing, than no it's nothing to worry about, keep having fun driving.
