Everyone seems to have a ZX3... it makes me feel weird owning a ZX5

I own a ZX5 and everyone i see online drives a ZX3. Im guessing that the ZX3 is more known for its mods and its rally racing but still... Besides personal preferance, theres nothing different besides the extra doors, but for some reason i feel..... weird driving my car sometimes. I feel like its the lower end.... family style of the focus's (besides the wagon). Every focus i see around town is a ZX4 or a ZX3...

what do you guys think about the ZX3 compared to the ZX5?

Personally I would have gone with a ZX5, if the ST drivetrain etc, was offered in the hatch. I MUCH prefer it's looks over my sedan, but I didn't have a choice. I think the ZX5s are more "sleeperish", if that's a word..but you know what I mean. There's fewer of them on the road, but the practicality of them is amazing.

Nothing wrong with being different. Especially when it comes to cars. If you have something that isn't seen too much it makes you stand out, which if that is something that you don't mind, then it is good for you. Besides, at least having a ZX5 means you dont have to worry about leaning the front seat forwards when you want to put something in the back seat.

i just got the zx3 'cause it was cheaper and didn't really need the car to transport anyone else but me.
like you said, there's no difference besides the extra doors (and a few more pounds in weight).
the zx5 is as cool as the zx3.
quit the nonsense and enjoy your ride!!!!!!!! lol
btw, welcome to ff.
hector.

Its a more convienent ZX3. They made SVT ZX5s, I don't think they can be that different. Google said the ZX5 was 2600 pounds and ZX3 was 2551 so thats only 50 pounds difference.

Here are 2 pictures of my car before i started doing anything to it... i have yet to take pictures of the new additions but the major one is that i painted my brake calipers "Ford Blue". I also changed out the stock headlight bulb to get rid of the yellow tint. I got Silvania Silverstars.. the brightest whitest legal headlights besides HID's.
