Cheap mods 05 zx3 (VW GTi rip)

I have just now come around to start customizing the 05 which I bought in september of 05. I debadged it, put on a pinstripe and blacked out the stupid chrome grill and added a red accent to make it look like the new VW GTi. Just a little cheap mod, but I'm happy with it. So, here is the first time my ZX3 is on the net:

yeah, that red stripe doesn't look bad at all.
can you get a picture a little farther away from the car?? to see how the stripe flows with the rest of the car? that would be cool.
nice work man.

oh, and I love how your dealer didn't drill any wholes for the front plate. Mine drilled nasty holes on the bumper, so I had to keep the screws on to cover them up. That sucks.

OK now that I have that out of my system...

The red stripe on the grille looks good.. I was planning to do that to mine before I decided to sell it..

I was also thinking (and I am throwing it out there for your consideration) to make red the whole bottom portion of the "grille frame" .. i.e. take a thicker piece of red stuff, and the sections of the grill frame that have your thin red stripe woud be fully red.

Nice to see 05+ coming up with mods... oh and I think this belongs to Showroom.

Thanks for posting .

btw a lone pic of my plan (this is a chop)
