Thumbs up K & N High Flow Air Filter

I just picked up this bad boy the other day and wow. Im impressed. Now it's no SRAI or CAI but I'd be lying if I said I didn't notice a difference. I can notice a slight difference in the sound of the car while driving and revving and I notice a significant difference in the acceleration of the car. I would recommend this to anyone. Keep up the good work K & N!

This is a common mod... The stock configuration is VERY restrictive. Now that your engine breathes better, you will definitely notice a difference in throttle response. And without the resonator, you will hear a deeper tone during acceleration…

Cheers on your mod

Hey thanks Grenada, moneys been tight lately due to the baby arriving soon so I haven't been able to get a good jump start on my modding, but I got my tax check and had some cash to spend so I gave my car the star treatment this weekend. I bought some hub caps until I can find a decent set of wheels that I like at a decent price, and they look pretty sweet as far as hubs go. I got the K & N filter, new wiper blades, car wash, a visor cd holder and an oil change with Penzoil Platinum Full Synthetic oil, and a "not-too-over-the-top-completely-unHonda-like" exhaust tip. Im not too concerned with visual mods as I am performance but I still want the car to look decent. I think my next mod will be a new exhaust of some sort, that or a short ram intake...theres too much standing water around here for me to go with a cai and still feel comfortable. Plus being in Indiana...away from a lot of "good" shops its gonna be hell for me to find a tuning shop so I can tune the car to use the mods effectively.

BTW...does K & N make an air intake system that isnt a cai for a 2003 LX SPI? If not whats a good one to go with?

No problem… In fact, the mod you just did is often called the “Poor Man Intake”, lol…

If your looking for wheels (Rims as they call it, lol) then trying looking at these sites:
http://www.wheelmax.com/
http://www.tirerack.com/
They have affordable wheel and tire packages…

Sorry, but I am not familiar with the SPI engine, you have to search or ask about intakes in the SPI forum… Good luck

This thread may help :
So you want to buy an intake?
